Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2003

Hello Everyone! Well I’ve decided to be more organised for Christmas this year I can’t believe it’s only the 6th of December and I’ve finished my Christmas shopping and am writing my Christmas letter! I’ve even printed my address labels.

Siân’s Year

I've had a bit of an eventful year this year - I was feeling ill between January and March whist rushing around Europe, madly trying to do my job, cover for 2 engineers who were in Japan and rapidly getting more and more exhausted and worn out! It didn't help that I'd also got a broken foot (Same as Beckham but I got there 1st!) Anyway after being sent home from work I saw the doctor and an hour later was being admitted to hospital to have my grumbling appendix whipped out! So that put paid to Easter but did explain the feeling ill!

It didn't end there I went back to work after 3 weeks and then my head just called a stop so I had another 3 months off and am feeling a lot more like my old self again. I've been back at work since the end of August and am enjoying it again- when it’s not too busy for even superwoman to cope with!

It has made me think a bit about what I want to do with the rest of my life and getting the old life balance sorted out – Has anyone got any ideas, job offers? I’m thinking of doing some serious travelling for a year and then doing something completely different.

The Baltic States

The Hill of Crosses

I spent the summer holiday in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia this year what an energetic and vibrant group of countries!

It was a Bales trip, friends Gareth, Anita and Fraser made it all the more fun as we ate and drank and toured around! I’d seriously recommend Riga as a city to visit with just the right balance of tourists and locals – the garlic bread is amazing too. There are lots more pictures Click here

Other bits of news

I’m off to Florida for New Year – we’re having a big family party Mum, Dad, Anne, Tony, Francesca, Phoebe (It’s her party she’ll be one on the 2nd of January), Tony’s Mum etc etc 18 of us in all. We’ve hired a villa and arranged breakfast with Mickey Mouse. I’m really looking forward to doing the theme parks no doubt I’ll be exhausted after my week! Great Preparation for a Toyota model launch – The new Avensis starts production in January, which will be fun(?) and lots of hard work.

I’ve booked to go to Ethiopia in September, which is a place I’ve always dreamed of visiting Gareth’s booked on the same trip so we’ll have fun.

Thank you for all your cards and news I do enjoy catching up with what’s going on. Events overtook my new years resolution to visit lots of you this year but you never know I might manage it next year. Keep in touch Siân x
