Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for 2007

Hello Everyone
This year has been a busy one again!  I've have been in my new house 3 years now, time’s flown by! I’ve finally painted some of the walls so it’s not all magnolia! Do come and visit if you’re in Derby.
I’m still working at Toyota, looking after Mass Production which is hectic but fun! Lots of our suppliers are moving East so I’ve spent time travelling to Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech republic.

Travels
I had a fantastic week in Jimena, Andalusia with Lucy and Bob at Easter – I was even inspired to learn some Spanish and did a short course in June and July.

 I spent a brilliant week in Turkey in July with Emma – we spent a week cruising in the Gulf of Gokova it was a really relaxing holiday lots of swimming, snorkeling and sleeping!

I spent my 2 week summer shutdown with Meg in Yorkshire – we had a fantastic  holiday cycling and partying! In our first week we cycled to Harrogate, Ripley and Boston Spa about 65 miles of pedal power! We compensated for the zero travel expenses in the Hotels and restaurants. In November I headed back to the Maldives for a week of snorkelling, sunbathing, sleeping and eating sumptuous food! The highlight for me were the eagle rays.

Fund Raising – Many of you helped with my fund raising for Cancer Research UK This year I had a bit of a brainstorm in January and signed up for 3 races in Derby, Nottingham and Stoke –together we raised £1000- Thank you so much! Don’t worry if you missed sponsoring me this year I’ll be doing something equally mad in 2007! 

Other bits of news
Minnie, Gnasher and Scraggly cat are all fine and up to their usual mischief. Gnasher came in last night soaking wet. cold and smelling of chlorine – only Gnash can find a pool to fall into in the middle of winter! The next few weeks are fairly hectic I’m playing the front end of the horse in panto.

Mum and Dad are both well – they celebrated their Golden Wedding in March. Dad’s new hip has made a tremendous difference! Mum and dad are spending Christmas with me this year.
